On October 25, 2017, the Vancouver City Planning Commission, (VCPC), in collaboration with the City of Vancouver, 100 Resilient Cities, pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation (100RC), and Simon Fraser University’s Public Square, hosted an invitational summit on resilience and the future of our city. The Summit encouraged dialogue among thought leaders, experts and influencers from the public, private, non-profit and academic sectors. It was an opportunity to inform the City’s Resilience Assessment and set the foundation for the ensuing strategy.
As co-hosts of the Shaping Resiliency Summit, we would like to express our gratitude to all the speakers, moderators, facilitators, volunteers, and participants and others who contributed to making this event a success. We would also like to thank the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia (REFBC) and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) for their support of the Summit.
