The Vancouver City Planning Commission with be holding a full day invitational summit on the theme of “A City for All.” The summit will be held at the Roundhouse Community Centre from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Our goal is to improve Vancouver’s resiliency – our ability as a city and region to anticipate, prevent and respond effectively to shocks such as earthquakes, floods and sea level rise, and stresses such as affordability, the opiate crisis and population growth through building our social capacity and catalyzing action.

The summit agenda has been developed with partners and will focus on interactive discussion of three themes: Belonging; Equity; and, Designing Places and Spaces; as well as three cross-cutting frameworks: Resiliency; Intersectionality; and Reconciliation.

Guests will be hosted around a variety of table topics.

Key findings and recommendations from the event will be presented to the incoming City or Vancouver Mayor and Council and other senior decision makers in the New Year.
