Committees
Much of the work of the VCPC is done in committees. The VCPC has established a “Standing Committee” (or Committee of the Whole). This Committee research topics and prepare briefs for consideration by the Commission. Past work has included organizing workshops, conferences, speaker presentations and idea competitions.
Additional committees are established from time to time by the Commission, and generally in connection with a project. Committees generally meet monthly, or based on the requirements of the project. An example of such a committee is the Chronology Committee that is working to develop a comprehensive timeline of milestones in the city’s planning and development.
